On 31st July 2021 M/V ‘Orca Yka’ new partly outfitted live fish carrier for Chilean owner Naviera Orca Chile SA. was launched. After being towed to Norway, the LFC, i.e. Live Fish Carrier, will be finally equipped at the Larsnes Mek Verksted AS shipyard and handed over to the Shipowner in 2022.
The ship, placed on 29th July 2021 on the pontoon "Horizon", left the shipyard Marine Projects Ltd. and then, after entering the floating dock, was launched on 31st July 2021. M / V "Orca Yka" left the shipyard Marine Projects Ltd. on 10th August 2021 in the hall of the tug "AMBER II".
It is the eleventh ship built in cooperation with the Larsnes Mek Verksted, and the ninth fish carrier (LFC). Length o.a.: 79,27 m;

The vessel was towed from the shipyard on 23.09.2019 and just after taking to the water she returned there on 24.09.2019 for further outfitting.
The vessel is under construction in cooperation with Norwegian shipyard Båtbygg AS from Raudeberg who will complete the ship in 2020 for the Austral Fisheries Pty Ltd. This innovative ship was designed in Norway by Skipskompetanse as a type SK-4260.
